1.) Wear Sunscreen
Wear sunscreen every day! Face, neck, chest, and I even apply it to my hands. Not only does it protect your skin from UVB rays (rays that cause you to burn) and skin cancer. It also protects you from the UVA rays that penetrate deep into your skin breaking down college and causing you wrinkles and brown sunspots on your skin. Even though we live in the PNW and have a lot of gray days, the sun is still getting through the clouds and causing damage to our skin.
2.) Focus as much on what you put in your body as on what you put on your skin
Keeping your skin hydrated will keep it from appearing dull and wrinkling.
Eat water rich foods. Our skin is the last organ to receive any water or nutrients. Eating water rich foods will keep you hydrated on a cellular level.
Eat plenty of Omega 3 rich foods as well as Omega-6 essential fatty acids or (EFA’s). We do not make EFA’s so we need to consume them however they are are essential to our bodies. They will help our skin function correctly.
3.) Get Facials
Facials have many benefits to keeping your skin youthful. They improve your tone and texture, increase circulation, prevent wrinkles and fine lines, repair environmental damage, and are very relaxing.
4.) Exercise
Exercising makes us sweat which gets rid of toxins that can cause breakouts in our skin. It also improves the circulation and oxygen in our skin which improves the overall health of our skin.
5.) Use a proper skin care regimen
Work with a skin care professional such as an esthetician or a dermatologist and create a skin care routine that works for you. Use professional products instead of over the counter or department store brands. Professional products contain higher active ingredients and are customized to fix your skin care concerns. At Lethal Lash Beauty we use Skin Script Skin Care which is a natural skin care line boosted by science.
